Please see Cheshire Mouldings guide for fitting here.
Storage – Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage (please note that returns need to be in the original packaging, unopened). Again, as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room’s atmosphere and as such, please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. Ideally, storage will be in the same room as installation.
Flooring Maintenance – Care Guide
You’ll know when your wood floor needs cleaning, as the dust and dirt is visible (unlike carpeting that hides its dirt below the surface) a simple vacuum, sweep or dry mop is all that’s needed to clean day-to-day dust and loose dirt.
Dirt and grit act like sandpaper on the surface of a wood floor. As 80% of dirt comes from outside, place sturdy doormats and rugs at entry points and use furniture pads under chair legs and heavy furniture.
Consider a ‘no-high-heels’ policy and be aware of pets’ bad habits and scratching. Never place potted plants directly on a wood floor. For a thorough and regular (every couple of months) ‘refresher’ clean, use a recommended after-care cleaning/maintenance product such as Wash & Care and you’ll bring a new lease of life to your floor.

What to Expect
Each postcode is allocated to a zone & depending upon the zone in which a postcode sits, will be how much delivery is. Each pallet delivered, takes 2 working days from order to delivery. For further shipping costs, please see our Shipping Cost page

Each box of flooring purchased has a weight, to which if you require 1 boxes of flooring, the average weight per box is 27kg (depending on the thickness and type of product purchased). ½ Boxes will be delivered via our Carrier Parcel Force Worldwide & you will be provided with a Tracking ID & delivery time frame via text & email.

If you were to order more than 2 boxes, the cost for shipping will be based on a full pallet rate. This will be the same for 3 boxes as it is for 30 boxes. Anything over and above 1000kg will incur a two-pallet charge rate.
Because we use an external courier network for our nationwide deliveries, it is important that you arrange for somebody to be present on the day of delivery to sign for the goods being delivered and accept your new oak floor as being in top condition.

Typically, couriers are only insured to deliver ‘kerbside’ (meaning off the side of their vehicle). Having said this, some drivers will help to carry the cartons of flooring into houses and garages but we cannot guarantee this will be the case with every driver, and we cannot ask them to do this. Help and assistance for the driver must be provided on site for delivery, not just to help carry the cartons of flooring into a dry and safe storage area (remember some weigh as much as 38kg) but also to actually sign for the delivery and confirm receipt.
It is vital that your new oak floor is immediately stored in a dry and sheltered area. If it is raining and the flooring is left outside, it will be ruined so it is important to get it inside to safety as quickly as possible. Even if the weather is dry, there is always a risk of your flooring being stolen if it’s left outside.

Technical Specification
Osmo Door Oil is made from a blend of natural oils, waxes and resins that are designed to enhance the appearance and protect a wide range of softwood and hardwood interior doors.
Osmo Door Oil 3060 (clear satin) emphasises the natural wood grain, giving a ‘wet-look’ finish.
Please note: Always check the manufacturers label on the door or with the door manufacturer before applying a door finish to confirm suitability. Some products may not be suitable for some types of door.
Preparation
Doors to be treated with Osmo Door Oil should be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%).
- Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes with the most suitable Osmo Wood Filler
- Previously oiled doors should be thoroughly cleaned using meths
- Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed to expose fresh / bare wood
- Doors should not be sanded any finer than with a 120 grit sandpaper
- Remove all traces of sanding dust with a vacuum cleaner or lint-free cloth dampened with methylated spirit
Doors situated in moisture rich environments such as kitchens and bathrooms can be treated with Osmo Wood Protector (4006) for additional protection prior to oiling. This base-coat is only recommended for use on doors being treated with the clear-satin door oil (3060) and not the ‘Raw’ version (3033). The base-coat (4006) will likely darken the wood to some degree which goes against what the ‘Raw’ is designed to achieve.
Application
Always do a test area to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the instructions on the osmo tin at all times. Stir well before use.
- Apply the oil with an Osmo Soft Tip Brush, Osmo Premium Microfibre Roller, clean lint-free cloth or sponge
- Apply thinly and evenly, working in the direction of the wood grain, removing any excess
- Over application or insufficient ventilation can lead to delayed drying times and/or a sticky finish
- Apply two thin coats of door oil for the best protection
- If possible, apply to all sides of the door, including edges, prior to installation
Finishing
Doors that have been treated with Osmo Door Oil 3060 (satin) can be buffed to lift the sheen. For additional shine, doors can be polished with a clear wax or polish if desired.
Aftercare
Cleaning
Light marks and day-to-day dirt can be cleaned using Osmo Spray Cleaner (8026). Stubborn stains, scuffs and marks can be cleaned with Osmo Wash and Care.
Maintenance
Clean doors to remove surface dust and dirt then apply a thin maintenance coat of Osmo Door Oil to restore the finish if required.
Repair
For dull patches and light surface scratches, doors can be restored with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner. For deeper scratches and stains, lightly sand the affected area and re-apply a thin coat of Osmo Door Oil.
