At Oak Floors Online it is important to us that you select the right oak flooring for your home. We appreciate that the flooring can completely change the look and feel of your room and that is why we offer free samples, so that you can look at and touch your oak flooring and see how it looks in your home before you make the decision to order your floor from us.
We are a team of oak flooring experts and are available to answer any questions that you have about the selection, ordering, fitting and maintenance of your oak floor. We are happy to advise you on which type of oak flooring is right for your home and to discuss what kind of look and feel you want for your room.
Our samples are free to order so that you have the luxury of taking the time to place the sample in the room you are ordering your oak flooring for and see how the light hits it at different times of day, what it looks like in natural day light and under artificial lighting.
You will want to consider the colour and tone of your oak flooring and how it will look once fitted with the rest of the décor and furniture in your room. A light coloured oak floor such as Celtic Character or unfinished oak will create a different feel and atmosphere in your room to a darker, double brushed and dark oiled oak floor or hand scraped antique oiled oak floor (you can see our whole selection of products available on our oak flooring product pages).
When ordering your oak flooring sample, you will notice that some products are labelled as being “A Grade”, “B Grade”, “C Grade” and “D Grade”. These grades are not an indication of quality, they are to let you know about the naturally occurring features of the oak such as knots and rivets and grains that will naturally contain lighter and darker areas. All of our oak flooring is of the very highest quality and the natural features of the oak flooring are what give it character and create an authentic look in your room.
Some of our customers choose to accentuate the natural features of the oak by finishing the flooring with a darker oil, which creates a stunning effect and makes your flooring truly unique to your home.
The grade of the oak floor is something to consider when choosing your sample; do you want to have a very smooth, almost “perfect” look to your oak floor for a more modern, cosmopolitan feel or are you looking to have a more authentic and natural oak floor in your home? If you choose to order a sample that is a “Grade B”, “Grade C”, or “Grade D”, you may find that you receive a sample with a naturally occurring feature such as a knot, which will give you the opportunity to see how the features will look within the oak floor and decide if you would like to have a floor with full natural features or fewer natural features.
If you have chosen to have our Thruflow underfloor heating installed with your flooring, remember to order samples of engineered oak flooring that are suitable for this.
Of course, price is going to be a key consideration for you when planning your oak flooring purchase and when you order your free samples, ensure that you have selected products that are within your budget or you risk falling in love with an oak floor that may take you over what you had originally planned to spend!
If you have any questions at all regarding any of our products, from ordering samples to how our through flow underfloor heating system works, please give us a call on 0800 043 3073 or email us on email@example.com and we will be happy to help.
