Delivery of Your Oak Flooring
Delivery Charges – Based On Postcode Area & Pallet Size (Quantities You Order)
Delivery Information –
Each postcode is allocated to a zone & depending upon the zone in which a postcode sits, will be how much delivery is. Each pallet delivered, takes 2 working days from order to delivery. Please see the cut off times below.
Cut Off Time –
For a standard selected delivery charge at the check out, every order placed before 11:30am on a working day, will be sent out the same day, arriving two working days later. Example – If you order your flooring at 10am Monday, the earliest delivery date on a standard economy delivery charge will be Wednesday ( PLEASE NOTE – We cannot give a time of arrival for your delivery, please call us on the day of your delivery for a time update). If you order on a Thursday or a Friday, your earliest delivery date will be the following Monday & Tuesday. Orders made after 11:30am, will be processed the next working day.
Selecting Your Delivery Date –
At our check out area, you will be able to select a deliver date that suits you. If you require a delivery the following week, then you can use our preferred delivery date selector to do so. This allows you to place an order in advance and saves you time worrying about when your flooring will arrive or arrive on time.
How Does The Half Pallet & Full Pallet Rates Work? –
Each box of flooring purchased has a weight, to which if you require 10 boxes of flooring, the average weight per box is 27kg (depending on the thickness and type of product purchased). So 10 boxes would give you a weight of around 300kg, meaning a delivery charge of a half pallet rate. Anything weighing over 500kg in total weight will incur the full pallet charge. Anything over and above 1000kg will incur a two pallet charge rate.
Next Day / Saturday Delivery –
If you require a next day delivery, then please call us via the telephone or via email in order to arrange a next day delivery. We all offer a AM/PM times service, along with Saturday Morning deliveries. These at this moment in time, cannot be processed through our website.
Local Deliveries –
If you are based within Pembrokeshire, then we ask you to select the free collect delivery charge at check out, meaning you qualify for free delivery. We offer a service to all our local customers within the Pembrokeshire. If you are unsure on if you qualify, please call us before hand to ask.
Where We Delivery To –
We supply our flooring to customers all over the UK and sometimes even to Ireland and France, meaning that the best, most cost-effective and most simple system is to use a large courier network.
Even though some oak flooring suppliers will lead you to believe they do not charge for delivery, we can assure you that it will be factored in somewhere in the total price because it is a cost to every supplier. Whenever a company is offering free delivery on a like for like product basis, always compare the actual delivered price to see exactly what you will be paying. When you compare our delivered price with companies who are offering free delivery, usually we are still the cheapest, even for the extra quality we supply.
Something to Consider When Selecting Your Delivery Date –
Please also consider that we recommend proper and sufficient acclimatisation of all our flooring before you begin any installation. Please refer to our acclimatisation guide and fitting guide for more information.
How Your Pallet Will Be Delivered –
Because we use an external courier network for our nationwide deliveries, it is important that you arrange for somebody to be present on the day of delivery to sign for the goods being delivered and accept your new oak floor as being in top condition.
Typically couriers are only insured to deliver ‘kerbside’ (meaning off the side of their vehicle). Having said this, some drivers will help to carry the cartons of flooring into houses and garages but we cannot guarantee this will be the case with every driver, and we cannot ask them to do this. Help and assistance for the driver must be provided on site for delivery, not just to help carry the cartons of flooring into a dry and safe storage area (remember some weigh as much as 38kg) but also to actually sign for the delivery and confirm receipt.
It is vital that your new oak floor is immediately stored in a dry and sheltered area. If it is raining and the flooring is left outside, it will be ruined so it is important to get it inside to safety as quickly as possible. Even if the weather is dry, there is always a risk of your flooring being stolen if it’s left outside.
